About the role
As an HSE Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures for our renewable energy projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the HSE strategy of our company from the ground up and ensure compliance with regulations across all states. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of Private Energy Partners' renewable energy projects.
    •    Oversee contractors onsite to ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulations, and best practices.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide HSE training and orientation for onsite personnel, including contractors and subcontractors, to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Collaborate with project development teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry standards related to health, safety, and environmental management in all states where the company operates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE-related inquiries and issues, liaising with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and community members as needed.
  • Manage the review and approval process for contractors onsite, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and company standards.
  • Monitor HSE performance metrics and provide regular reports to management, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.


  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy sector or construction industry.
  • Knowledge of Australian health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as relevant industry standards.
  • Strong skills in risk assessment, hazard identification, and control measures implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective HSE training sessions.
  • Experience in integrating HSE considerations into project planning and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and manage regulatory inquiries.
  • Proficiency in analysing HSE performance metrics and generating insightful reports.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to foster a positive safety culture.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving abilities to address new challenges and emerging issues.
