About the role
This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of energy projects, from enquiry and application phases to registration and design, for both large energy users and renewable energy projects. It requires expertise in communication with NSPs and AMEO, delivering complex high voltage grid connection projects, and performing power system studies.

Key responsibilities.

  • Assist the Technical Director during project delivery whilst considering time, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Support EPEC Group in pursuing new project opportunities as they arise, including preparing tender submissions and proposals with the assistance of other staff as required.
  • Assist EPEC Group in the development of a team focused on all aspects of the Owner and Developer side work for generation, high voltage transmission and distribution projects.
  • Assist EPEC Group in the development of Design, Construct and Commissioning teams.
  • Undertake the required billable work and assist in the supervision and guidance of junior engineering, drafting and technician personnel.
  • Assist with the technical delivery of projects within EPEC Group assigned to you, including understanding technical deliverables, and taking responsibility for the completion of the deliverable.
  • Apply the QMS to work processes.
  • Report issues / opportunities for improvement.

???????Skills & Experience

  • Experienced in the delivery of multi-discipline complex high voltage grid connection projects with a background in an engineering design, build & commission operating environment.
  • Strong HSEQ focus and leadership capability demonstrated by high levels of team passion and commitment for delivery and achieving strong results in areas of commercial performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels and successfully negotiate with and influence customer and senior level stakeholders in defining project delivery solutions and decisions in line with performance targets.
  • Demonstrated experience with power system analysis tools including PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim in RMS and EMT environments.


  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
  • Registered Professional Engineer, Queensland
  • Post-graduate qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics an advantage
  • Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia desirable
